~They rode tonight, through the thick brush and muddy puddles, around old trees and new growth. The air was crisp, cool as it washed over them. She was amazed by Lilly's need to open herself up to the night; it's as if her mare had called to it. Summoning it around them, protecting them within its secrets. For a brief moment she looks off into the distance while they rest. She can feel her skin prickle, something hidden within the darkness is watching them, knowing that her bond is about to alert her mate she gives a slight kick to Lilly's side, sending them both back to the compound.~
